The Good School Habits for Your Smile

Posted .

If you want a strong, healthy and top-notch smile, then you need to care for your teeth and gums regularly. This means you need to care for your smile at home as well as at school. Fortunately, there are good school habits that can help you keep your smile in the best shape possible. Our dentists, Drs. Jones and Buck, encourage you to use those habits. Those habits are:

-Eat a tooth-healthy lunch: When you eat a tooth-healthy lunch, like one that is filled with fruits, vegetables, protein and dairy products, you can strengthen your teeth and improve the health of your smile. So, try to eat a tooth-healthy lunch as well as avoid acidic, sugary and high-carbohydrate foods.

-Brush your teeth after lunch: If you brush your teeth after lunch, you will clean your teeth and gums and even remove food particles stuck between the teeth. This can help you have a healthier smile as well as help you avoid any embarrassing food-filled smile moments.

-Sip on water throughout the day: When you sip on water, the water washes the teeth and gums from bacteria, food particles and acid. This can help you maintain a top-notch smile while you’re attending classes. So, keep a water bottle with you and sip on water throughout the day if possible.
