Your Toothbrush: How to Take Care of It

Posted .

As you might know, brushing and flossing your teeth are extremely important steps if you’re hoping to keep your teeth healthy. However, would you be surprised to learn that caring for your brush is another thing you’ll need to do if you’re interested in protecting your oral health?

You see, it’s actually very important that you choose the right brush. We recommend choosing a brush with a head that fits comfortably in your mouth. It’s also important that you choose a brush with soft bristles. Sadly, if you brush too hard, or use a brush with hard bristles, you might injure your pearly whites. Also, please remember that regardless of the brush you use, you should clean your gum line and between your teeth with floss. If you try to clean it with a brush, you could hurt your teeth.

Of course, there are a few other things you should do once you’ve selected the right brush. For example, would you be surprised to hear that you should replace your brush every few months? Sadly, your brush can harbor bad bacteria, which could lead to several diseases. You should also remember to store your brush upright in an area where it can dry out. Finally, please remember to rinse your brush with running water after each use.
